‘PERFECT SEVEN’ Throwball Tournament2023-24

“Sports can refresh the mind and body, can make us more energetic and experience team spirit”.

Bethany School, Kinnikambla proudly hosted Throwball Tournament under the caption ‘PERFECT SEVEN’ on 25.08.2023 in collaboration with the Association of ICSE and CBSE Schools (AICS) of Dakshina Kannada District.
The Inaugural programme commenced at 9 am by receiving and escorting the guest to the dais accompanied by the symphonic school band led by Anisha Laila Monteiro the SPL of the School. The teams from 39 schools enthusiastically participated in the tournament.
The dignitaries on the dais were Sister Gracy Monica B.S, Correspondent, Bethany School , Rostan Emanuel Lobo Chief guest National Level Body Builder, Sister Leera Maria BS , Local Maneger, Sister Anitha Tressy ,The Principal, Imraz Banu ,PTA Vice President.
The programme began with the prayer song by the School choir. The honourable guests and the gathering were cordially welcomed by Sr Anitha the Principal. The guests inaugurated the Tournament by the grand revelation of the winner trophy symbolically and by playing a game with the team in the court. The AICS Throwball Tournament then began after a great start with the National Anthem. It was truly a wonder to see the talented Sportspersons from different schools potraying their vivid abilities.
The tournament was a feast to the spectators as the participants put their best foot forward to win the game for their teams. The event was a high voltage experience as the teams presented a spirited performance with mighty throws, Intelligent drops and match turning serves.T he final match witnessed a tough fight between the teams. Moving shoulder to shoulder both the teams kept the spectators guessing till the end.

Runners- SDM School Ujire
1st Runner up- St Mary’s Central School Kinnigoli
2nd Runner up- Raj Academy Ganjimut
The Best Thrower Award was awarded to Master Nikethan of Canara School Mangaluru; The Best Receiver Award was given to Master Shriyan of Raj Academy Ganjimut. The Title of Best All-rounder of the day was given to Master Rohan Pai of Canara School Mangaluru.

Runners – Raj Academy Ganjimut
1st Runner up- Bethany School Kinnikambla
2nd Runner up – St Dominic’s School Polali, Bantwal

The Best Thrower Award was awarded to Master Shawrya of Canara School Mangaluru; The Best Receiver Award was given to Master Samraz of SDM School Ujire. The Title of Best All-rounder of the day was given Master Shresta of Canara School Mangaluru.
There were many people who were responsible for making the Throw ball Tournament a success, especially the Officials at each Court. Sr Anitha the Principal of Bethany School honoured them too with a small token of gratitude.
The matches beautifully captured the attention of the audience by the efficient commentary of Mr Harishchandra from CSI English Medium School, Karnad Mulki.
The programme ended with the Vote of thanks proposed by Sr Prabhath.
